Production of 'Miss Fortune', A Short Film

“Hi! My name is Grace Roden, and I am the writer and creative director of ‘Miss Fortune,’ an upcoming short film we will be shooting this fall. I am asking for your help in getting this student-made project some funding to ensure it is of the highest quality possible. The film will be directed by Ellie Pink and produced by Boston University's professional film fraternity, Delta Kappa Alpha. The crew will be made up entirely of Boston University students, and this project is an incredible opportunity for up-and-coming filmmakers/actors/creatives to showcase their abilities. We plan on submitting this film to many festivals internationally to gain exposure for everyone working on the project. However, we have hit a wall with funding, and in order to make this film the highest possible quality of work, we will need funding beyond our small student salaries. The impact of even a small investment into this project is immense and would be so deeply appreciated. As every artist in the industry knows, you’re only as good as your portfolio, and with your help, this film has the potential to greatly affect the careers of the creatives tied to the project. With an eerie, unexpected plot and campy visuals, it’s sure to keep you mesmerized and on the edge of your seat. More specifically, the premise of the film is: a young, queer woman is entered into a pageant that, to her surprise, turns into an eerie, cultish auction. The rest of the crew and I thank you for whatever funds or time you can commit to our film. We can’t wait to show it to you all!”
