Support the Recording of My Debut Album

Hi, my name is Abigael and I'm raising money to record my first album. For a long time, my music was something I kept just for myself. It was a personal practice that helped me process my feelings and experiences while navigating the world. Now, I find myself with a collection of songs that I want to share with as many ears that want to listen!

In January of this year, I started playing open mics in my town. It's been profound be witnessed and received by so many amazing local artists and patrons. These performances led me to the opportunity to play my first paid show in early September. The show was sold out and was one of the most incredible nights of my life!

After finishing my set, I was approached by multiple people asking where they could find my music. It was really validating to hear that people wanted to keep listening, but unfortunately, I didn't have anywhere to send them. I've since realized how important it is to me to have these songs professionally recorded.

Every single song I've written is deeply meaningful to me. Each one holds the energy of important experiences that have shaped the way I understand myself and my place in the world. While I wrote these songs for myself first, the more that I share them, the more they feel like they also belong to those who feel pulled to receive them.

So, I've decided to take a leap in my creative journey and officially record my first album! This project has my whole heart, and I want to do it right. I've quickly learned that recording an album is an expensive endeavor. This is where I need the help of my friends, family, and wider community to make this happen. All proceeds will go directly toward recording fees including studio time, sound engineering (mixing + mastering), accompaniments, and marketing. I am beyond grateful for any support you have to offer to make this project a reality!

Alongside GoFundMe, all funds from live shows (including my upcoming show on November 16th, click here for details!) will be put towards the record. I am also actively pursuing grant funding, and hustling in my other businesses (Check out my pottery business here) to raise money for this project.
