Project Community Roots: Hurricane Helene Support
Donation protected
This is not easy for us to ask for help, but we've realized that after our teams have been out working to help others in our community, the need for assistance is greater than what we could imagine. We've found so many people who are neglected and tucked away on backroads, hollers, valleys, and other inaccessible areas who desperately need help.
The Mustard Seed has founded Project Community Roots to prepare and supply a crew to help those who are not going to get help quick enough. We're sending our private UTVs, landscape vehicles, work vans, and other tools with crews out to remote areas in surrounding towns who have experienced complete devastation.
Our focus will not be on reopening our business at this time; we feel it is our responsibility to help those who we have a personal connection with in our community and are unable to get the help they need due to inaccessible roadways, no infrastructure, and a lack of resources.
Please consider donating to this cause and helping us continue to aid and support our community. ALL funds will be donated personally and directly to local families in need.
This fundraiser was founded and is managed by the Stewart family in Blowing Rock, NC (Robb, Danielle, Ian, Hannah and Madeline). This fundraiser is in support of our neighbors in the community and surrounding areas. Funds have been distributed to local families in need as well as used to buy supplies and essential items. With the donations we have received, we have been able to lay gravel, deliver meals, provide water, purchase generators, cut down trees and assist in other ways with families and individuals in surrounding counties such as Watauga, Ashe, Avery, Caldwell, Mitchell and other areas. Please contact us for specific names of individuals and families who have received monetary donations from this fundraiser.
