Project Connect 2021

Donation protected

The students of the School of Health and Human Services at St Cloud State University invite you to help us help others. The homeless population over the years has been rising in Central Minnesota. The Wilder Study states that over one thousand people are currently homeless in the St. Cloud area. Many of these people face daily challenges from not having a safe place to sleep, shelters that are full, or access to healthy food. Project Connect tries to help.

Project Connect is a yearly event held at River’s Edge Convention Center. This event is going to be held on October 26, 2021 from 10 am-3 pm. Project Connect is an event that offers people within our community the opportunity to access services offered from up to 40 different service providers.

We are asking for the help of our community to make a difference through a donation. As community members, we think it is important for us to help our neighbors during difficult times.

With money we collect, we will be able to purchase needed items like socks, hats, scarfs, etc. hygiene care: toothpaste, toilet paper, soap, first aid items, diapers, flashlights, gift cards, basic need kits, etc. (we will be including many more items in these bags) Please visit: https://www.facebook.com/phcstcloud/ here you would be able to keep up to date on events or our fundraising event coming up this year.

As St. Cloud State Students we find it important to be part of this big event because a part of our education is to become good citizens that care about lives beyond our own. And we would like to ask you all to help us in our journey to be good neighbors to all people.
