About ছিন্নমুলদের পাশে আমরা (Chinnomulder Pashe Amra):
We are a youth-based voluntary initiative, a non-profit organization that works with the motto of mobilizing collective action for the underprivileged, especially the children, during the time of the pandemic. We have already conducted 3 projects, targeting the flood victims, cyclone Amphan, and COVID-19 affected population across 12 districts and Upazillas of Bangladesh. Recently, a few schools pushed to the verge of closure during the pandemic have been provided with logistical and financial assistance.
Objective:
It is not unknown about the most deprived community of CHT. In remote parts, most families depend on subsistence earnings, as a result of which providing basic education for children has become extremely difficult, especially with the onset of the pandemic. In an effort to support the educational aspirations of children from the Chittagong Hill Tracts(CHT) region, ছিন্নমুলদের পাশে আমরা (Chinnomulder Pashe Amra) has taken up an initiative, Project Dikkha (দীক্ষা), to provide financial as well as logistical assistance to children from this area by ensuring the provision of school/boarding fees and school accessories. Project ‘Shikkhar Alo Pabe Shobai’ by শুনতে কি পাও?( Shunte Ki Pao?) is the key collaborating partner of this project.
Number of target beneficiaries: 300
Project Area: Thanchi Upazilla, Bandarban District
Project activity:
● Providing educational accessories to 300 children living in the CHT region
● Providing boarding facilities as a scholarship for those living in remote areas of
Bandarban in CHT
● Design a mental health advocacy campaign to create awareness among students
● If possible, setting up an accessible mobile library for the students by arranging a book donation program
