Project: Eclipse
Donation protected
In 2010, Mark Bender and Elizabeth Buckley teamed with scientists Jay Pasachoff and Fred Espanek to create the "near live" Easter Island Eclipse television special for the National Geographic Channel.
Now, they have re-teamed to create Eclipse Across America .
Our mission is to share the exciting, educational, and entertaining opportunities that the 2017 Eclipse will offer.
This will be the most observed, most filmed and photographed, most studied and most appreciated astronomical event in human history!
On August 21st 2017 a spectacle will occur in the skies above the entire United States of America, and for ninety minutes it will hold the entire Nation spellbound.
Once again, television will play a key role in documenting this landmark moment but now we also have the power of the internet and this will allow the public to participate and interact in a way never before possible.
Bender & team are a part of a unique international group of adventurers that pursue eclipse events to share not only the scientific aspects but the thrilling knowledge that all eclipse witnesses experience: that we are all a part of the same planet and blessed with opportunities that we can hardly imagine!
This project will require the participation of hundreds if not thousands of talented and enthusiastic amateur and professional photographers and filmmakers.
Your donation allows us to connect people across America in the making of our film.
Tell your friends, family, and business colleagues about this amazing project.
