Project Freedom: Support Myanmar CDM
What's happening in Myanmar?
CDM - Civil Disobedience Movement where we urge all the government workers to stop going to work.
The CDM is gaining momentum and it is effective. Military even plea everyone to come back to work on their TV channel. CDM is not for a week or two. It is a long-term fight. During this process, many people will lose their livelihoods. And this campaign is to support these brave heroes. In order for the CDM to succeed and for us to gain back freedom, the government office workers need to be supported. For the sake of our future generation, we need to keep fighting.
Hence, we ask for help from our friends, and international communities to support as much as you can.
How you can help?
What will happen to your money?
We will use our personal network to deliver the money to Myanmar. Your money will be sent to two independent CDM organizers. One of them is donating the money to Truck Drivers who are doing CDM in Yangon and the other is supporting train station workers in Mandalay.
Update:
Our first goal is to donate the money to the truck drivers who are participating in the CDM. 2750 trucks will be participating in the movement. https://myanmar.mmtimes.com/news/151222.html
Let's keep the momentum going.
Who are we?
We are a community of Myanmar youth living abroad. Staying in this privileged place, the best thing we can do is to raise money and help our friends and family back home.
