Project Give More - Cambrai Coy
Donation protected
The Army Foundation College Harrogate is proud to launch Project Give More. This exciting new annual initiative will see our Junior Soldiers raise money for a variety of charities and give more back to the communities that they serve.
Each of the College's five companies' Junior Soldiers will be responsible for designing their own charity event and deciding which charity to raise for. The money raised will be split between the chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support (60%) and the College's affiliated charities, ABF The Soldiers' Charity (20%) and SSAFA the Armed Forces charity (20%). The company that raises the most money, on average per Junior Soldier, will be awarded the Project Give More Cup, which will be held until the following year's event.
We are confident that Project Give More will be a huge success. Our Junior Soldiers are passionate about giving back to the community, and we are excited to see how much money they can raise. We hope that this initiative will inspire others and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
This year, it has been decided that the charity events will relate to the battle honours that each individual Company's name bears. On July 27th, the Junior Soldiers of Cambrai Company will set out to conduct a 617 kilometre log run! This equates to the total distance from the Army Foundation College Harrogate to the site of the Battle of Cambrai. The charity of choice for Cambrai Company was Macmillan Cancer Support, therefore this is where 60% of funds will be donated. The Junior Soldiers are determined to succeed, honouring those that served in Cambrai, whilst simultaneously raising as much as they can.
Please get behind the Junior Soldiers of Cambrai Company, donate to their chosen charity and spread the word about Project Give More. Together, we can all give more.
