Project Heron
PROJECT HERON
NEW NETS AND CLUBHOUSE REFURBISHMENT COMING SOON!
In recent times, Wanstead CC has enjoyed unprecedented success. But, like every great club, we are always looking for ways to improve.
To build on our recent achievements on the field, our facilities need to be upgraded urgently. And we are rightly aiming high.
We’ve identified what we need: new, state-of-the-art ECB-certified nets, the same kind the players use at Lord’s.
But we need to raise £75,000 to fund the installation.
There’s no doubt it’s an ambitious target. But we’re an ambitious club.
And once we’ve raised the money and installed the nets, we won’t be stopping there.
We’re going to complete the clubhouse refurbishment, including new toilets, changing rooms and shower facilities.
Our aim is to have completed this work by the start of the 2020 season.
Project Heron will help ensure the future development and success of Wanstead CC for the next decade and beyond.
We’re confident that with your help we’ll raise the money needed.
So we’re creating opportunities for everyone to get involved, at every level of support you can give us.
‘The Cricket Ball’, Elvis and Caribbean nights were huge successes, and there are lots more fundraising events planned.
And, combined with a successful grant application, we’re already a significant way towards reaching our target.
But we still need your help.
So please: go to our fundraising page and give generously.
You’ll be helping future-proof Wanstead Cricket Club
for generations of Herons to come.
About the club: Wanstead & Snaresbrook CC is one of the leading amateur cricket clubs in the south-east of England. Based on Overton Drive in Wanstead, East London, the club was founded in 1866 and recently celebrated its 150th anniversary. We are an ECB-accredited, friendly, inclusive, culturally-diverse club with 220 adult members and 360 junior members. We work closely with the local community, schools and the London Borough of Redbridge.
