The goal is simple...
absolute equality in the health and fitness industry.
Together we will create a community of healthy, active individuals who have equal access to health and fitness services provided by diverse and culturally competent professionals.
It is apparent now more than ever that we must continue to battle the inequities that BIPOC Americans face on a daily basis. When it comes to our health and well-being, the story is no different. People of color, specifically Black Americans, are lacking the proper health education, representation of our people in the health and fitness professions, and overall access to these services. These issues are on a perpetual cycle and must be intervened immediately. The only way we see this being done is by addressing it on every level.
As we looked into our own experiences in the world of health and fitness, Elijah and I realized a common underlying theme. There was a significant lack of those who looked like us in the health and fitness industry. We quickly determined that to be our most pressing and immediate concern. Empowering our youth by providing them a familiar and caring individual who is committed to keeping them healthy and can instill the skills and mindset necessary to achieve their dreams. For the young adults currently pursuing these careers, we can guide and mentor them through the early phases of their career and give them the opportunities and experience to thrive.
We are also strong believers that individuals are the best versions of themselves when they give back to the community that supports them. Our community deserves the affordable education, services and support they have been denied since this country's inception. The best way we could think of accomplishing this is by providing accessible and affordable fitness experiences as well as health/fitness/nutrition workshops in order to combat these disparities. We also plan to support our community by dedicating a part of our time and money toward other groups serving these communities.
