Project Ten Men

Hi!  I am Aiden and I am 10 years old. 

I would like to raise funds to help the Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment Association send some of the approximately ten remaining WWII veterans from the regiment back to Europe for celebrations in their honour. 

In 1944 and 1945, the Essex Scottish Regiment helped liberate a number of towns in the Netherlands and Belgium, and it's surviving members were recently invited back.   Most of these veterans are now in their mid-90's and funds raised through this avenue will assist in supporting these veterans to go over to Europe with a caregiver as well. 

Those communities would really like to honour the men.  They will be dedicating monuments to the regiment, as well as even naming streets and squares after the regiment.  This truly is an incredible acknowledgement for their sacrifice and dedication.  Plus, it's a pretty cool thing to do :)
