Project Oculus: Paranormal Windows

Please watch the above video for a full explaination of Project Oculus - it explains some finer details, and gives you a good understanding of the whole concept.

Hi, My name is Jeff Ritzmann.

Most of my life, I have experienced what society has deemed 'paranormal' events. Many of these instances over the years have been witnessed by others from family members to friends, and sometimes outright strangers

What I and others have experienced runs the spectrum of strange things seen in the sky (aerial phenomena), to apparition type manifestations, to non-descript phenomena that doesn't seem to fit into any specific category.

What you'll see in the above video, photographed in a downstairs hallway of my home is typical of the latter - flashes of light and color that shouldn't be there. One second it's there, the next it isn't. Fleeting phenomena like this is hard to capture. But technology exists today that can greatly help with gathering data that has the potential to be scientifically viable.

I want to state categorically, I don't know what ghosts, UFOs, aliens or any paranormal manifestation represents. Questions like: Are ghosts the dead? Are UFOs extraterrestrial? don't really enter into the picture for me anymore, because my outlook is that's a premature, non productive route to take. We need better, more concise data with as many eyes in on the collection process as possible.

Which brings me to the reason for this go fund me campaign...

The Dropcam has revolutionized wifi video surveillance with easy access to smooth, streaming video to smartphones, desktops, and tablets. I already own one, which I bought to keep an eye on my 2 dogs during the work day. It's never gone out of service (save for complete power outages), and is as reliable as I think you can possibly get. The cams are equipped with audio, zoom in and enhance capability, great automatic night vision, and for a monthly fee Nest (the parent company) can record and store your camera feeds.

The initial goal is to obtain 3 dropcams - one for the hallway, one for the back end of the house which includes the bathroom entrance, and one for outside that can be aimed up skyward or aimed into the back yard. All these locations have had significant events reported by either myself or my family over the years we've been in residence.

The question is, can the paranormal be induced by way of antistructure, lack of routine, and the act of putting oneself or one's environment into a liminal state? At that point, with cameras fully incorporated into the environment - can it be recorded in a meaningful way to be statistically viable? I'll be keeping a daily log of life in the house, to see if any recorded phenomena coincides with specific life or home events. Entries will be made publicly available in real time along with the camera feeds on an area of paratopiaoculus.com  - that's where you can get involved by monitoring the feeds and reporting any anomalies you happen to see. A donation of $20 or more will get you full access to the cam feeds page, and online reporting capabilities.

No one is expecting the holy grail of proof here, this is a starting point - we're simply trying to push the subject forward by trying to directly engage it in a totally new direction.

I hope you'll join me in looking for the phenomena from a different perspective. One that not only challenges all the paranormal ideologies, but challenges the paranormal itself.
