The Mendoza Family aims to provide impoverished elementary school aged children with backpacks containing school supplies, goods, and food on their next visit to the Philippines.
Project pacK a smile is meant to spread awareness that basic educational supplies such as backpacks, papers, and pencils poses a financial barrier to education especially for those living in poverty. The opportunity for education is often a second priority to basic needs such as a food, clothing, and shelter. Children who cannot afford proper supplies and materials for school often feel discouraged to attend, and therefore have no means of social mobility without an education.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
- Any amount of donation is highly appreciated and will go towards any expenses for this cause.
- For $25, you can donate a backpack that includes school essentials, slippers, and a hot meal!
- You are more than welcome to donate more than one backpack (2 backpacks= $50)
IN RETURN
- Those who donate a backpack will recieve a photo of the recieving student
- Those who donate more than one will get a photo and a personal video response from the students.
