Project PRdise - Hurricane Relief

For those of you who don’t know what’s going on in Puerto Rico, hurricane Maria made landfall in Puerto Rico at 6am on Wednesday September 20, 2017. It has been the largest hurricane to hit the island in almost a century. It was not just any ordinary hurricane, it was a Category 5 with winds up to 200mph. Hurricane Maria demolished our island leaving everyone without electricity, water, and minimal communcation. Many lost their homes and livelihood due to the flooding and intense winds. Puerto Rico needs all the help you can give now more than ever.
My name is Claudia Lopez and I am from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico but I currently live in Maryland. My friends, family, and the people of Puerto Rico who still live in the island are living in terrible conditions due to Hurricane Maria.
Donations from this GoFundMe will go to Student's with PR and San Jorge Children's Foundation.
Student's with PR is an initiative that began with college students across the U.S. who anxiously witnessed the wrath of Maria from the outside and felt helpless. The proceeds from Student's with PR will go to Unidos por Puerto Rico, a public-private initiative started by the office of the First Lady Beatriz Isabel Roselló and a group of companies to help the victims of the storm.
San Jorge Children's Foundation is an organization created to respond to the medical needs of children from low income families. With your donation you will be able to provide medical services to children from nearby islands who have been sent to Puerto Rico since they lost their homes during the hurricane.
For over 22 years San Jorge Children's Foundation has paid for all medical treatment to children, from newborns to 21 years of age, by covering medicines, laboratories and studies, medical visits and monitoring, as well as psychological treatment for the patient and his or her immediate family, among many other services provided to these special families.
Every penny counts!
