THE PLAN
Several dance companies will perform works centered around identity, community and strength.  Presenting companies include Moving Spirits, Inc., Sydnie L. Mosley Dances,  Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company and Rakiya Orange.  Local organizations performing include students of the Arts & Literacy Program, students from the Beacon Center for Arts & Leadership, members of El Puente, and the Black and Gold Marching Elite.

Thecommunity dance workshop will be held before the performances, starting at 2pm and open to ALL ages.

Choreographers and community partners have gathered for workshop sessions to discuss their progress and the significance of sharing work in our communities. We have discussed the influences we wish to have in the communities by using guiding questions, critical thinking and group discussions to facilitate the skills development workshops.

TIMING IS EVERYTHING
The community workshop will begin at 2pm and the performances will follow from 2:30pm-4:30pm.

LOCATIONS
The workshop and performances will occur in Heckscher Playground in Bushwick.  Located at Linden Street & Central Avenue in Brooklyn.

**Please help us make this event a success by offering a financial gift. Funds raised will cover the cost of sound equipment, the park permit, rental equipment, and compensation to the artists for their invaluable contributions.**
