Prom Queen: The Movement Summer Tour!

Donation protected
Hi everyone! We are Prom Queen: The Movement (in Concert), a concert written, directed and organized by young people centered around the importance of Mental Health and similar topics.

Prom Queen was officially launched on Social Medias on June 15, 2021. Prom Queen's official premiere took place in the INEC Arena, Killarney, on the 21st and 22nd of November 2022. Together we performed this incredible show, to great success, with a public viewing on the 21st, and a school show on the 22nd for some local secondary schools around the area.

Now we're here, six months after the premier production, and we're planning an exciting project for Summer '23, our Summer Tour! In this project, we will be touring four gorgeous venues all around Ireland! These are the Everyman, Co. Cork on the 21st July, The Glór, Co. Clare, Killorglin CYMS Hall, Co. Kerry, and finally, Dunamaise Arts Centre, Co. Laois!

However, producing a concert costs a lot of money, which is why we're here! We hope to use the money raised from this to cover the costs of venues, travel, lighting, props, costumes, sound, and stage design amongst many other things.

A little more about the plot of Prom Queen:

Prom Queen is a concert, meaning it uses well known and popular songs already written to tell its story, so you are guaranteed to know most of the songs in the show! One of the most special things about Prom Queen is that every character is dealing with something. Prom Queen deals with a lot of heavy topics such as domestic violence, depression, internalised homophobia, suicide, bullying and grief. With this show, we want to educate people and shine a light on these topics. The story follows shy teen Oliver Lamb (Olly) and his best friend Krystal Parker (Krys). While Olly is hopelessly in love with schools popular girl Leah Galloway, Krys is burdened by a family tragedy kept secret for years. One day, Olly stupidly challenges the schools star and popular boy Glen Khan to see who can take Leah to Prom, and that's where our story begins.

We are so thrilled to finally be in a position to bring this show to stages around the country this Summer, and we are beyond excited for everyone to see it.

This is an amazing youth project supervised and coached by experienced professional adults that truly deserves your support!

Please donate to this worthy cause, every little helps! This is an extraordinary show you do not want to miss, so save the dates!
