Celebrate EGURBIDE & donate to Mutriku JAI ALAI

Hi, my name is Jose Antonio Egurbide, Jr. After dedicating his life to the sport of Jai Alai (31 years as a professional player and 16 years as a player's manager) our dad EGURBIDE (pictured below) passed away peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2023 in Milford, Connecticut. His entire life, he never forgot his roots and neither fame nor fortune ever changed his great humility and love for the sport of JAI ALAI. To my father, nothing would have made him happier than knowing that, instead of flowers or any other tribute paid to him personally, inspired well-wishers instead donated to help develop the next generation of players at the Jai Alai school in his own beloved hometown of Mutriku, Euskadi. On behalf of my mother Elisabeth, my brother Xavier and my sister Edurne, my father's friends, teammates and fans through the years have our neverending gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of love and affection over the past few days, even as we've remained in mourning. The world has just lost a great Jai Alai player but an even greater human being, friend, husband, and dad. Please help us to celebrate EGURBIDE's life, and the sport of Jai Alai he loved so much by kindly considering a donation to promote JAI ALAI's next generation of young players.
