Milana was born on April 15th 2015, our little bundle of joy arrived healthy and a perfect fit for our family. Much to my surprise and the doctors she was missing her left arm; elbow down. In the second trimester of pregnancy an amniotic band formed around her arm and stopped it from developing. At first I was shocked, I have never heard of ABS before. I started researching and joined support groups for other moms who have children with the same condition. I am lucky to have found these groups and see other children thriving in the world with similar conditions.
Milana is a bright sweet energetic baby and has proven doctors wrong being able to do things that they say she couldn't. She is constantly on the go and having only 1 hand does not stop this little girl from anything!
Recently I have gotten in contact with a mom that has a high grade 3D printer and is able to print light weight functional prosthetics for her son. I am hoping to raise money so we can invest in the same 3D printer, being able to print different type of functional hands for Milana to use as she grows. Having Milana be a part of making her own hands would be a dream come true. I am looking to raise money to invest in her future and also to give back to the ABS community. We would love help children who do not have access and cannot afford prosthetics, this community has been great for our family and we would love to give back to other families. #luckyfins
