My mom has been fighting osteosarcoma, a bone cancer, in her leg for over a year now. After multitudes of surgeries and rounds of ineffective chemotherapy the next step is amputation. 
Prior to this my mom was a pediatric nurse who had a passion for running, cycling, swimming, and hiking. She was a national qualifier for triathlons and a caring and brilliant nurse. She is an talented baker, a fantastic friend to everyone who knows her, and an incredible mother. 
Besides the immense cost of medical bills alone, prosthetics are super expensive, especially the ones that would allow my mom to go back to living life to the absolute fullest and possibly competing in triathlons, returning to the job she loves, or even just walking her daughter to the bus stop. 
My family as a whole hates asking for help or coming across as weak and we understand that this is a hard time for everyone right now, however we would really appreciate any assistance you can provide.
