Protect abused, neglected dogs across the UK

Who are we?

We are the UK dog Protection team, who are a rapid response animal welfare group operating across the UK. Our main teams are regional based:

1) London

2) Manchester

3) Liverpool

4) Scotland

5) Wales

and will travel to surrounding areas.

Our mission is to protect dogs from abuse by doing a number of different things, these include:

1) Identify where there is abuse

2) contact the relevant authorities, such as the Police and RSPCA about the abuse, and ensure appropriate legal action is taken

3) Failing authority action, we will take independant legal action in the form of an injunction to stop people keeping pets

4) we will contact housing providers who house animal abusers and ensure they take tenancy action when there is a conviction or other appropriate civil action remedies without convictions, but where there is evidence

5) we will protest outside the properties of animal abusers until they surrender and abused animal

6) we will demonstrate outside the offices of housing providers to make sure they take action against animal abuse

7) we will hold authorities accountable if they dont take action and write to their regulatory body who can fine them

8) we work alongside charities and rescues to find homes as well as finding direct homes and sponsors to help pay for rehoming

9) we temporarily foster dogs whilst we find them homes

Why did we form a UK wide team?

following the XL Bully ban announcement, RSPCA are overwhelmed by the animal welfare issues and so are all of the current major shelters. we have stepped in to help and will be linking in with all the big and smaller charities to establish how we can fill the gap.

Where will this funding go?

1) petrol costs to travel across regions to collect dogs

2) vet bills

3) body cameras for the team

4) equipment for any aggressive/defensive dogs

5) dog food/crates and toys

6) Uniforms and safety equipment for the team

7) liability insurance
