Sarah's Grand to Grand Ultra Fundraiser for Public Lands
Tax deductible
Thank you for visiting my page to raise awareness and support for Conservation Lands Foundation (CLF)! I hope you'll join me in donating to this nonprofit's vital work to protect and enhance public lands that are managed by the Bureau of Land Management and that make up the National Conservation Lands. I'm doing this campaign in conjunction with racing the Grand to Grand Ultra 170-mile self-supported stage race from September 22 - 28, because the event's wild, scenic, remote route in Northern Arizona and Southern Utah runs near environmentally sensitive BLM lands. (The photo above was taken when I ran the event in 2019, with the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument in the background.)
Keeping these public lands undeveloped, and wisely managing their limited use—rather than carving them up and promoting mining, drilling, and other development on them—is key to maintaining nature's threatened biodiversity, wildlife corridors, and fragile ecosystems. Public lands preservation also plays an important role in combating climate change. CLF's advocacy, and its role in bringing together dozens of smaller grassroots environmental groups for funding and networking, has led to major success in defending and expanding the National Conservation Lands. Please visit the website linked above and watch this short video about the foundation's work. All funds raised (minus credit card service fees) will go directly to Conservation Lands Foundation, not to me! CLF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all gifts are fully tax deductible. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated!
