We need your help to urgently retain legal representation to protect our child’s rights in a criminal justice systems targeting him as a African American Black child.

Trust is fragile, and trauma endures for JC after experiences which exposed an ugly and unsettling culture in Powhatan County VA, one spanning decades.

Our child is suffering from

intentional discrimination, disparate treatment, and institutional breakdowns all on a grand scale has created rippling adverse events for this child at the hands of Powhatan County.

We had to relocate due to the trauma of ARMED Powhatan Sheriff officers intimidating and interrogating JC at his home. We need financial support as we are now paying mortgage and rent to ensure our son's safety in different community, but understand we NEED legal representation and support to stand against this injustice.
