Protect our Childcare Future

Naíonra Philib Barún C.L.G. is an Irish preschool, which was established in Tramore over 40 years ago. For over 20 years we have been located, on the grounds of Gaelscoil Philib Barún, in a prefab which is now going into disrepair. We are currently not entitled to any funding from the Dept of Children or any other stream of funding, therefore leaving us in the precarious situation that we may be forced to close and leave the staff and families without jobs and childcare.

We cater for 22 children, with three staff members, under the ECCE programme and also run a successful and busy afterschool. In an area where childcare is in high demand, we are asking anyone who is in a position to help us to donate and keep our future alive.

We own a site adjacent to our current location which has full planning permission as well as having architectural drawings, for the expansion to two rooms completed, which incorporates all childcare regulations and current building codes. What we need now is a building.
