*** DATA CENTERS DO NOT BELONG NEXT TO RESIDENTIAL & SCHOOLS ***
We need YOUR help! On November 28, 2023, the Prince William Board of County Supervisor voted to approve the Devlin Technology Park data center campus located in Bristow, VA. Currently, the applicant Stanley Martin, has proposed that up to 9 hyper-scale data centers and 3 substations will be built on the 269 acres parcel known as Devlin. Some estimate the project will require enough electricity to power 250,000 homes and will house hundreds of diesel generators. The data centers are slated to be 81’ high and due to the topography of the land, will tower over nearby homes at a minimum of 141-171’.
The surrounding communities in the Brentsville District overwhelming showed their disapproval for the project in the forms of writing letters to the BOCS, speaking during public comment and hearing time, forming townhalls, and writing news outlets, stating that data centers do not belong next to residential and schools and that their quality of life will be adversely affected by this decision.
Help us raise funds that will go directly to the support of defending the surrounding neighborhoods and schools: Victory Lakes, Sheffield Manor, Lanier Farms, Crossman Creek, Bridlewood Manor, Turning Leaf Estates, Catholics for Housing, Foxborough, Amberleigh Station, Silver Leaf Estates, Braemar, Kingsbrook, Chris Yung Elementary School, and Bristow Montessori School, against the rezoning actions of the PW BOCS. In order to do this, we need your contributions towards legal fees to obtain a lawyer, meet initial retainer fees, and any fees that will support suit against PW BOCS.
