A rezoning application on Halls Lake aims to change the zoning from a shoreline residential (SR2) to a rural designation (RU).

<div>An RU designation would allow many non-residential uses, including a hobby farm with pigs and chickens, as well as numerous commercial and industrial uses.

<div>Approval of rezoning here may set a dangerous precedent that could open the door for similar developments on every lake in Algonquin Highlands. If approved, it will threaten the very future of our entire lake system.
