Protect S. Philly Immigrant Families : Covid
Donation protected
We are a group of educators in South Philadelphia. The students we work with are largely from undocumented immigrant families. This puts them in a precarious and dangerous position during this time. With no unemployment checks coming in and no stimulus check, these hard-working and caring families have lost their jobs and are in need of help. This is particularly true because while there are multiple organizations providing food to families, and many utility bills have been delayed, families still need money to pay for rent.
This fund is to gather resources to give to others who can distribute the help where its needed: The New Sanctuary Movement and one of our dear former students, Karla Rojas. Karla has been profiled by Univision for her work distributing food and help to the community. We have selected these organizations because of their grassroots nature and ability to get money and resources in the hands of deserving families.
