Watch the video slideshow of a brief history of the Cambridge Zen Center narrated by our Co-Guiding Teacher Zen Master Bon Yeon (Jane Dobisz)!
For over 40 years, the Cambridge Zen Center (CZC) has been the home and temple of several generations of Zen students living and practicing together. Consisting of three buildings, with its main building located at 199 Auburn Street in Central Square, the Zen center has been serving, literally and spiritually, as the refuge of the sangha. In order to maintain the center's structural and aesthetic integrity for generations to come, we need to keep investing labor, time and money into the buildings' on-going maintenance.
Our newest endeavor is the Front Restoration Project made possible by an Institutional Preservation Grant in the amount of $75,000 from the Cambridge Historical Commission (CHC). The funds will be spent for repairing and partially rebuilding the three front entrances at the main building. The great good news is that the CHC grant will cover three fourth of the total construction costs, which are projected at $100,000. However, in order to receive the full grant amount, CZC is asked to match the grant in the amount of $25,000.
Help us raise these funds so we can successfully complete the Front Restoration Project! Protect this precious jewel for the next 10,000 years to come by donating below!
Another way to help us achieve our fundraising goal is to donate any unwanted items to our
Summer Yard Sale and Garden Party on Saturday, August 21, 11 AM. to 5 PM

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity.
