HAVE OUR LOCAL COUNCIL BROKEN THE LAW???

 

EVEN MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL THEMSELVES HAVE STATED THIS IS A TRAVESTY!!

 

The villagers of Denstone, Staffordshire need your help. They are fighting the BIG BOYS of their local council about development that has been approved outside of the agreed settlement boundary. If won, this landmark case could help protect Village communities across the whole of the UK in the future. 

 

Following initial legal advice from a Top Barrister the village community have been informed that they have a VERY strong case to move forward with, the outcome of this case could set a legal precedent and benchmark for future such cases. 

 

However, High Court action is not cheap, and the Village need to raise more funds to enable them to continue with their battle. 

 

Local people have already donated over £15,000 but now they need help to get to their target to complete this case and not to allow the council to bully them into submission.

This may be Denstone in Staffordshire today, tomorrow this could be your community under threat from over development. 

 

This case will establish a precedent in Law that other village communities can utilise to protect their own GREEN SPACES. 

 

It is about time that the residents of our UK Villages are listened to, and their views respected by the powers that be. This case will set a precedent to ensure that local councils cannot overrule agreed planning policies with 'so called exceptions'.
