Protecting the Point... continued!

With the support of the majority of our neighborhood, this fundraiser has been established to file the paperwork necessary to appeal the Planning Commission's decision on July 28, which will make our small street a cut-through.
These funds will go directly to our lawyer, Jason Holleman, who will need to prepare a Petition, a Writ and a Fiat. To prepare the Petition, Jason will need to go back over the meetings to make some specific fact findings. Then, the petition will have to be filed and served on Metro and Beazer. It is expected that all of that will take 6-7 hours of billable time ($1,800 - $2,100). There is only one filing fee for that total package of documents - about $300. There is some cost to serving the petitions, but hopefully, that can be eliminated if Tom White agrees to accept service on behalf of Beazer. Metro Legal always agrees on behalf of Metro.
We need a minimum of $1000 raised by next Wednesday, August 31, and the remaining $1500 will be due at the time of filing, which must happen by September 24.
All funds will be returned if we fail to meet our total goal of $2500.
Thank you in advance for pledging your support!!
