Salaams- I am appealing to all my friends and family PLEASE help save the life of my mentor, sister and friend Ameena Matthews. Not to long ago Ameena was diagnosed with Multiple Myoloma. She has determinedly fought the disease with the help of Allah, her guides Shaykh Nazim and her husband Shaykh Abdur Rashied, her children, her grandmother, and her Spiritual family Al-Hafeez.It is is important to help get our sista, mother, and friend back on the front lines. Ameena has been one of the main the faces and fighting forces behind Ceasefire/Cure Violence. The State of Illinois has  been unable to aid her with health coverage maintaining that she is not eligible. She is currently paying $1,600 a month for basic insurance with no income and has been told if she does not have a LIFE-SAVING Bone Marrow Transplant, she will depart this life in less than 30 Days. In addition to this $1,600 premium, Ameena was told that she has to pay an additional $600 to move forward with the life-saving procedure. She and her family are not monetarily capable of paying the full cost of this astronomical request. She is asking all of you that love and know her work and her giving to pay it forward and please give what you can to help our sister.
