A new weatherproof wildlife shelter

I live in the countryside in Cork, Ireland. I've met so many beautiful creatures that like to call our garden their refuge, their safe space, their restaurant, their home. I take care of a number of beautiful foxes named Mulder, Vivica, Jamie, and Scar. There's also 4 beautiful hedgehogs that are currently hibernating. As well as these creatures there are tons of birds like Chaffinches, Sparrows, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Robins, Collared Doves, Rooks. We also have visiting cats, and even a mouse and a rat!

Every creature deserves a safe space to go when it's dark, cold and wet to get something nice to eat. There is an old doghouse built in the 90s or so that was on this property when I moved here, and that is what I've been using as a shelter for food for the wildlife as well as a nightly wildlife camera since August of 2024 until now.

Unfortunately, it's no longer fit for purpose and would be too expensive to buy the tools and equipment needed to restore it. The roof felt has torn in many places, the roof boards are leaking, there is mould growing inside and the foundation is sinking. I want to continue to have a safe space for these creatures to visit, and would like to replace the existing dog kennel with a new, weatherproof 4 foot by 4 foot one. It costs €360 (excluding delivery) and on top of the costs of feeding all these creatures as well as my own expenses like bills, it's money I just don't have.

I'm hoping I can find other people who care about animals that could chip in, even a small amount, because it will all add up and help to provide a new shelter for these sweet animals.

In the unlikely event that this GoFundMe surpasses its goal, excess funds will be used for food for these animals, as well as bird seed for the many birds in the garden. In the super unlikely event that double the amount is raised, I will buy two of the 4x4 kennels, which would be amazing.
