Join me and help the impoverished of Ghana

This is one of 2 billboards I have in Kumasi, Ghana
Greetings, my name is Aprella. I'm a U.S citizen in Ghana. I am upstarting a water sachet business where 80% of the proceeds will go to charity. Take time and Google Aprella Natural Mineral Water. I am a registered nurse and have been volunteering here in Ghana since 1999. I use my own resources to assist the vulnerable, marginalized, sick and homeless individuals of Kumasi, Ghana. It's now taking a toll on my finances so now I am at a juncture that I need assistance and I'd like to make a larger impact on the community. Difficult to believe that these shoes are the only ones this boy has.
And these are shoes I gave him that were donated from my friends and family.

And have a look at these old shoes from a 12 year old girl. I swapped and gave her my new Pumas brand sneakers.

That's me with her tattered shoes on. Good exchange for both of us.
I also have a homeless family of 6 that I have taken into my home. I have taken the 4 kids as my wards and responsibility and also an orphan. I would like to help more people in such dire situations. Therefore, I decided to take on the business of 500ml water sachets. The water sachet business provides people with clean potable (suitable for drinking) water at a cost that they can afford. And the proceeds will go back into the community at large. Many Ghanaians lack the luxury of clean potable water for drinking and cooking. Sachet water from my business goes through the process of reverse osmosis, filtering and ultraviolet light for removing toxicants and other microorganisms. It is also from a mechanized borehole that goes through to the 2nd table of water deep below the surface of the earth. My employees are health screened by environmental health and my company is FDA approved. When water is unclean, it provides for a multitude of diseases, including but not limited to, cholera, hepatitis A, Typhoid fever, dysentery, diarrhea and more. That being said, clean water will decrease illness and morbidity in Ghana, which is our ultimate mission here. These 500 ml bags will be the most affordable on the market and yes, 80% will go to charity. Such as assisting with hospital bills, medications, school and university fees, food supplies, clothing, school supplies, toys and much more while the remaining 20% will go to the upkeep of the machinery. On the downside, used sachet bags contribute to the litter in Ghana. Therefore, when I am well established, I intend to place dust bins/trash cans in strategic areas and employ a sanitation crew. The funds received will assist me in jump-starting the business and eventually add bottled water to it. So actually, it's a 3 fold business. 1. To raise money for the impoverished, 2. Provide clean drinking water, 3. To help clean up the community. Please help me in this selfless endeavor for Ghana. Even $10 will go a long way. $5.00 will send my 4 wards to school and back for 1 day. That is transportation to and back from school, breakfast and lunch canteen and their extra classes they do after school ever day. And $4.35 is equal to 55 Ghana cedis (at this time). That's how much I give them everyday. That's 55ghc for all of them, not per kid.

In Peace and hope,

My inclusion into Who's Who in America.

This is one of my wards, Josephine. She's 14 and aspiring to be a journalist or film actress. She is extremely dramatic and loves singing and dancing. She is also volleyball captain at her school. I have her and her brother enrolled on a kids segment of a popular radio station here in Kumasi. She's doing a short on inventions here.

Her brother Desmond. He is 12 and an aspiring doctor. I've been coaching him on the medical field for about 2 years now. This segment on the kids hour, he is speaking on sickle cell disease. He has also done presentations on diabetes, cholera and malaria. When he did his presentation on sickle cell disease, the producer was moved to tears. I asked "Why?" He said that "Malaria is such a wretched disease and it affects so many of our kids here in Africa and to hear this little voice, speaking with conviction, passion and articulation just filled me with emotion." Now he is known as Dr. Williams (see the program line up). He is always in position #1 in class and is school prefect.

This is Ustaz. The orphan. His mother died when he was 6 years old and his father abandoned him at birth. His grandfather, his 12 year old sister, 19 year old brother and 2 favorite aunties, died within a 2 year span of time. That time includes his mother. He is now 13 and has been with me for almost 2 years. He is uncertain of his career goals but he made a little fan with 2 batteries and he loves cats. We have about 8 of them. When Ustaz came to me, he was in position # 42 out of 44 kids which is really bad, and repeating the 4th grade for the 3rd time. With the help of our private tutor, Francisca, he is now in the 5th grade and last school term, he was # 11 out of 44. Currently, I am seeking remedial classes for him in order to get him where he should be, grade 6. I have also made him my assistant production manager of the business.

Jeffrey is 9. He is also #1 in his class, always. His passion is karate. He's really good at it. I tapped onto that talent of his when they first came to my house in 2018. I immediately enrolled him in karate classes and he says he wants to be a scientist or soldier to protect his country. He is brother of Desmond and Josephine. He is quite a comedian and keeps everyone laughing.

This is Baby A. She was named after me. Growing up with cats, she sometimes thinks she is a cat and the one she is holding with a choke hold is "Henry" her brother. She didn't really crawl before walking, rather got on all 4s like a cat. Jeffrey is teaching her karate, much to her mother's dismay, but she's picking up on it very well. She is tomboy like and I say she will be the first female Ashanti Regional Police Commander.

I'll have to get a good pic of the parents of these four, but Joseph, the father was a self employed contractor that fell upon hard times when creditors did not repay him and the illness of his mother. He is a graduate of Kumasi Polytechnic college. He lost everything he had and found himself destitute. They were evicted from a house close to mine and in his desperation to home his family, took the chance of asking me for a room for his them. These days he farms and does labor work to put food on the table. He also acts as my security, grounds keeper, maintenance man and advisor. He is now the Production Manager of my business. Joseph is also a great singer. I'm trying to find means to promote his music. Can't figure out how to download his music at the moment.

Then there is his wife Vida. She prepares my food and does a great job. Cooking in Ghana is very primitive. She knows my likes and dislikes. She doesn't work but would if she could. She stays at home with me. She makes ice cream and sobolo for sell to help the family out.
