Provide personal hygiene products to the homeless

To those of you who don’t know me, my name is Austin Howard. I would like to tell you all about a project I have been planning that aims to give out paper bags containing personal hygiene and feminine products, socks, and handwarmers to the homeless population in Grand Rapids, Michigan on New Years Day 2022. I started this project with the hope to provide some of the often-overlooked products to individuals in need, and to make good use of the easy access to these products that many in our society often take for granted. I don’t want to be a member of a silent majority that looks away from people in need. If we can do something to help, we should do something to help. While none of us on our own can end the growing problem of homelessness, by working together we become greater than the sum of our parts. The impact we have is compounded by our contributions, time given, and our teamwork. I don’t believe in being paid to do what’s right so 100% of the donations received will solely be used to purchase these bags and the products within them. With that, I am asking you, the people of my community, to consider donating time or resources to this cause. Please share this amongst your friends. Time is of the essence, as I will need to order these supplies soon to meet our target date of New Years Day 2022.
