Provide Shelter and Hope for a Courageous Family

Hello family,

I'm asking for community support in helping a close friend who has courageously fled a domestic violence situation. For safety and privacy reasons I cannot share their information or whereabouts. She has consented to this message and is in deep gratitude and dire need for any and all donations. She is the mother of 2 young children, both with special needs, (who are also with her now) and they are in need of safe stable shelter and getting their basic needs met with food, clothing, water. They are currently homeless in a different state (from me) and live out of their car.

The situation is urgent.

Due to the long term violence and control from her partner she has no money, no income, and no contact with family or friends. The systems in place have failed her and her children repeatedly and due to irrational bureaucratic road blocks there is also no space in any shelters. The shelters she has been in have been extremely unsafe for her children and are unable to meet their special needs. Her ex is a powerful person with wealth and connections and he has kept her isolated from relationships and cut her off from her family. They are currently homeless.

We are also currently seeking legal counsel for more solidified protection. For now, we are asking for help with shelter and food and a stable environment for her and her family to get their bearings.

She is counting on all of us. She IS all of us.
