Provide Shoes For The Homeless
Donation protected
Nearly 4,000 people on Long Island are suffering from homelessness with approximately 1,650 being children - remaining one of the highest homeless populations in the United States. Long Island Aid has been working closely with schools & local businesses in order to help accumulate donations of new and lightly used shoes which will directly be donated to a variety of homelessness organizations including HELP Suffolk, Coalition For The Homeless, United Veterans Beacon House, etc. Additionally, every pair of shoes that is donated by Long Island Aid will be accompanied by a NEW pair of socks. We are proud to say our vision is continuing to inspire individuals in their own community to care about their fellow neighbor & we hope to inspire other youth groups to be an active participant in their own community!
