Provide Signs & T-Shirts on Overdose Awareness Day

OVERDOSE AWARNESS DAY 2022...A DAY OF HOPE AND HEALING

August 27, 2022, 11:30-2:30 pm @Allen County Courthouse

Each year we lose thousands of people to drug overdoses globally. This causes has devastating impact to their families and friends. Fort Wayne, IN and Allen County is not immune. You may have seen it, it may have affected people around you. Tomorrow, it could happen to someone you love. This is not an invisible issue.

Overdose Awareness Day and month, (August/August 31) provides an opportunity for us to reflect on practical ways to prevent overdose in our community. It is also is a time to bring hope and healing to those who have lost a loved one to an overdose, celebrate those in recovery, and raise awareness to the real facts about drugs and substance use disorder.

This year’s event, Overdose Awareness Day  (August 27, 2022) we are asking for the community's help, ie: individules, groups, businesses, and corporations, to please consider making a donation to help us provide everyone with a T-shirt and provide those who have lost loved ones, and /or celebrating recovery, with a sign that will be placed on the Allen County Court House Lawn with their dates and picture. The cost of each shirt is $6 and each sign cost $20, therefore, every dollar counts in helping us support families and friends during this event, who have lost loved ones to overdose, help celebrating those in recovery, and those still struggling with substance use disorder.
