Provide tech education for youth worldwide!

Help us bring computer science and human-centered design skills to high school students around the world. Today, Code.X brings volunteer instructors to inspire and teach worldwide each summer - in 2024, we are offering programs in Ukraine, Egypt, Albania, and the West Bank. Over the past few years, we've made a transformational impact on our students and built broad interest in STEM, and we need your help to cover operational costs.
Code.X is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who work year round on an estimated annual budget of $20,000. We’re asking for your support to cover our minimal operational costs, and any excess will go towards our visions of growing our team with fully dedicated staff and expanding our programming to serve more students across more countries.
Your donations go directly towards costs such as:
- Annual operations including camp coordination, instructor recruitment, curriculum development, and program design
- Stipends for part-time volunteers that support our operations
- Program site visits and local partner support
- Digital tools for student and instructor use
- Legal and operational/administrative expenses
We’ve held successful youth education programs in the West Bank and Gaza Strip since 2015, Albania since 2019, and Ukraine and Egypt since 2024, reaching 1K+ high-achieving students with targeted, long-term tech education and mentorship. We believe that access to coding skills, tech mentorship, and entrepreneurial guidance is one of the most powerful and accessible ways to create opportunities and open doors to a brighter future. Students in our programs have gone on to attend top universities around the world such as Stanford, MIT, and Brown.
Please consider making a donation today and help us create a brighter future for youth around the world. Thank you for your generosity and support!
HOW WE STARTED
In 2015, we launched our “Code for Palestine” pilot with local partner Paltel Group Foundation in the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza Strip. As the first initiative of its kind in the region, we aimed to attract the best and brightest students to STEM fields and promote Computer Science education more broadly.
Since then, Code for Palestine became the leading high school program in the West Bank and Gaza, graduating 7 cohorts of students before its final year in 2022. Computer Science is now being taught in every Palestinian middle school, with Code for Palestine being credited by the Ministry of Education as the catalyst.
- 20x growth in student applications with an average acceptance rate of 5.5%
- Commitment to student diversity and accessibility
- 44% of students were female and 75% of those students went on to study STEM fields in university
- 66% of students were from public or refugee schools
- 40% of students were Gaza residents
- At least 93% of CFP graduates have gone on to pursue computer science in university
- Our students have received internships at prestigious tech companies such as Meta and Dropbox
WHERE WE ARE NOW
In 2019, Code.X partnered with local Albanian nonprofit, alphaPlan, to launch Code for Albania with support from the national government and local corporations.
In 2023, Code.X partnered with local Palestinian nonprofit AlNayzak Organization and the Gaza branch of U.S. nonprofit Amideast to launch two new pilot programs that continue Code for Palestine’s legacy.
In 2024, Code.X partnered with the Canadian-Ukrainian charity Help Us Help to launch a flagship program in Western Ukraine, and with the Egyptian school Salahaldin International School in Cairo to launch a flagship program in Cairo.
Seeing Code for Palestine’s success, parties in various countries - ranging from Jordan to Nigeria to Brazil - have since reached out to us to bring the same program to their locale. We assess each of these inquiries on a case-by-case basis and look for strong local partners and student needs.
