Globally over two-thirds of the world's population do not have access to safe, timely and affordable surgical care. Our volunteer doctors, nurses & operating technicians travel to rural locations around the world to provide life-changing surgery, absolutely free of charge.

Our mission is to save as many lives as possible regardless of income, gender identity, sexual orientation, cultural, ethnic, political, or religious affiliations.

To ensure that our efforts impact underserved communities for years to come, we also offer training to local health-care workers.

Operation International is a secular, non-political, humanitarian organisation founded in 1996 in the United States. The first UK-US collaboration launched its maiden mission to Ghana in 2019. We have now formed a UK chapter of Operation International to mobilise volunteers on an annual basis.
