Transforming Lives Through Hairdressing

Hi my name is Lucy-May. I am a Schwarzkopf colour master from the salon Style Hair and Beauty, and I am proud to announce that I will be off to the Philippines for two weeks in April with Schwarzkopf for their charity training academy Shaping Futures!

I will be using my expertise to teach disadvantaged young adults to help unlock their potential in hairdressing with the hope of enabling them to be self-sufficient and change their lives.

The placement starts with training the foundations in all basic hairdressing. Techniques including, consultation, cutting and colouring. Finishing with a graduation to recognise their achievements and successes. They then work with local salons, which place every student into full time employment providing long term security.

I hope that you will be able to support this amazing charity and its fantastic opportunities for shaping the futures of disadvantaged young adults for a career in hairdressing.

About the charity that I'm raising funds for: Shaping Futures evolved into a global initiative in 2010 when Schwarzkopf Professional partnered with SOS Children's Villages – a leading non-profit organisation. Since then, they have helped over 2800 young adults in 33 countries, towards a brighter future.
