I am Angie Provost, and along with my husband June, we proudly represent the Provost family — among the very last Black farmers in the United States. For over four generations, our family has cultivated sugarcane, nurturing a legacy deeply rooted in our agricultural heritage.

June and I would like to thank everyone who participated in or donated to our previous fundraising campaign!

Provost Farm is not just a piece of land; it is our dedicated response to the systemic discrimination deeply ingrained in the agriculture and food-way sectors.

Motivated by the need to confront historical inequalities, we are committed to transforming our farm into a beacon of

change, not just for us, but for socially disadvantaged producers in our community.

The urgency to safeguard our farm and uplift others facing similar challenges fuels our initiative!

We aim to build a robust foundation of infrastructure to pave the way for better opportunities, policies, and programs for underserved communities.

We view agriculture as the cornerstone of society, and our firm belief is that without equitable and fair representation, society suffers.

As Black farmers, we recognize the importance of

rectifying the consequences of historical injustices.

Yet, the journey ahead is not without its challenges. Like many Black farmers, we still rely on your assistance.

While we await substantial reforms and compensation for the injustices committed by the USDA, the support of individuals like you remains crucial.
