Proyecto Smile Camino en Kayak

Somos Camino en Kayak y realizamos viajes por diferentes países del sur de África. Por este motivo nació en Malawi el PROYECTO SMILE.

Mi mujer Retha y yo (Carlos) con nuestros tres hijos Gauri, Kian y Eiden, estábamos estudiando el terreno y las actividades que íbamos hacer con nuestro grupo que venia de España a visitar este precioso país.

En una de las actividades después de visitar un colegio en una pequeño pueblo de pescadores en el lago Malawi. vimos un niño escribiendo en un pequeño trozo de papel ya escrito y decidimos comprar material escolar para todo el colegio.

Nuestros recursos eran limitados, pero pudimos comprarles una libreta para cada uno de los 500 niños del colegio, un lápiz, bolis, un juego de colores para cada aula (donde había 50 niños por clase), folios y material deportivo (un balón para cada aula). Todo comprado en la zona y participando de la economía circular de esa comunidad.

Las sonrisas tan puras que nos regalaron, nos hizo pensar que en cada uno de nuestros viajes, teníamos que buscar una nueva sonrisa que nos regalasen y en eso estamos. Nos gustaría compartir esas sonrisas tan maravillosas y que todos y todas podáis ser participes de este PROYECTO SMILE.

Una pequeña ayuda a cambio de una energética sonrisa.

Nuestro próximo destino es una pequeña aldea en Lesotho, un pequeño país incrustado dentro de Sudáfrica.

Intentaremos robarle una bonita sonrisa a los niños de un orfanato con el que estamos en contacto y por donde transcurre nuestro viaje.

Con toda la humildad y sin pretender salvar el mundo, aportaremos nuestro granito de arena, llevándole material escolar, deportivo, ropa y productos básicos para el día a día.

El dinero será invertido en el mismo comercio local, así que quizá no solo los niños nos regalen una sonrisa

Si entre mi pequeña familia logramos juntar ese material y robarles una sonrisa, que no podemos hacer con nuestra gran familia de Camino en Kayak y toda la gente que quiera aportar a este bonito y saludable proyecto.

We are Camino en Kayak and we make trips through different countries in southern Africa. For this reason, the SMILE PROJECT was born in Malawi.

My wife Retha and I (Carlos) with our three children Gauri, Kian and Eiden, were studying the terrain and the activities we were going to do with our group that came from Spain to visit this beautiful country.

In one of the activities after visiting a school in a small fishing village on Lake Malawi.

We saw a child writing on a small piece of paper already written and decided to buy school supplies for the entire school.

Our resources were limited, but we were able to buy a notebook for each of the 500 children in the school, a pencil, pens, a set of colors for each classroom (where there were 50 children per class), paper and sports equipment (a ball for each classroom). Everything purchased in the area and participating in the circular economy of that community.

The pure smiles that they gave us made us think that on each of our trips, we had to look for a new smile that they gave us and that's what we are doing.

We would like to share those wonderful smiles and that all of you can participate in this SMILE PROJECT.

A little help in exchange for an energetic smile.

Our next destination is a small village in Lesotho, a small country embedded within South Africa.

We will try to steal a beautiful smile from the children of an orphanage with which we are in contact and where our trip takes a stop.

With all humility and without trying to save the world. We will contribute our grain of sand, bringing school and sports supplies, clothing and basic products for everyday life.

The money will be invested in the same local business, so perhaps not only the children will give us a smile.

If my small family manages to put together this material and steal a smile from them. What can we not do with our great Camino en Kayak family? and all the people who want to contribute to this beautiful and healthy project.
