Support for Pedro and his family

Pedro Aguilar, a father of 5, was delivering healthy food to people in need for the West Side Campaign Against Hunger when he suddenly found himself caught in the crossfire of a shooting and was shot in the back. Pedro was simply doing his job and doing good, meaningful work, helping ensure New Yorkers in need had healthy food for holiday meals, when he became a victim of gun violence.

Pedro and his family's lives have been uprooted due to this senseless act of violence. Pedro has had to undergo surgery and faces months of physical therapy. His wife now cannot work because she has to take care of Pedro as well as the couple's younger children. 
As a result of this tragic incident, Pedro's wife has lost of income and faces new expenses for transportation, food, and childcare. Your support will help support Pedro and his family with these unplanned expenses, not to mention the added stress and trauma during an already challenging time as the COVID-19 pandemic continues on.
