Charlie's Vet expenses
Donación protegida
Meet Charlie! About a month ago he was discovered wandering around our neighborhood when the temps were dropping and the winter rains had begun. He was so scared and hungry, but we could not get him on a leash. He darted through traffic and got away from us. SO many people started looking out for him and posting on various sites, but nothing. Then, last night a local rescue friend was able to trap him and that's how he came to live with us!
We took him to the vet this morning and got back some not so good news. Charlie, the name we just voted on, is only weighing in at 69 lbs; about 15-20 lbs underweight. He is an intact male, not microchipped , has hookworms, a double ear infection, infested with ticks, and sadly has tested positive for heart worms. A treatment plan has been put in place, but it will be costly. Estimated costs are coming in at about $2000. This will cover the heartworms, meds, ticks, hookworms, and getting him neutered. If you would be willing to help defray any of these costs, I would be ever so grateful!!!
