We are adopting a teen!

Have you ever heard the term when life gives you lemons, make lemonade? Well as it turns out, life has a lot of lemons to give, but it also gives sugar sometimes to make things a little sweeter. Even though it feels like it's out to get us and only us sometimes, that is not the case. The human experience is a giant roller coaster, and if I've learned anything from my time here on this earth it is about how you respond to the ups and downs that dictate your experience. Franco and I have had our share of ups and downs, together and apart. We have blended our families, added a little girl of our own, and bought a house in just these past 5 years. This part of our adventure has brought us to another person on their path of ups and downs. Unfortunately, B has had more downs than ups. More lemons, less sugar if you will. We have had the privilege of getting to know B and he has shown us what he is truly about and who he would like to be in this world. He is an extremely smart, determined, and kind 16-year-old. Our kids have created such a bond with him and so have we. Turns out that even though everything is falling into place, these things still require quite a bit of funding. Franco and I live modestly and do the best we can to provide for our already large family. So with that said we come to you, our friends, family, and acquaintances to ask for your help. We will do whatever it takes to turn B's lemons into lemonade! Everything raised here will be applied to lawyer fees and processing fees, and anything left over will go to getting him settled in our home. We can not wait to add him to our Christmas Card!
