The staff of PS 170X is raising funds to support the families of our school community. PS 170 is a 3K-2nd grade school, located in the Mount Eden section of the Bronx. We serve New York City's youngest learners and their parents.
Our school motto is CARE (Cooperation, Accountability, Respect, Empathy). Our staff has been honored to care for our kiddos throughout this challenging year. Now we need your help to care for their families too.
Our neighborhood in the Bronx has been severely impacted by the COVID crisis. Several members of our school community have experienced sickness and loss. COVID has also taken a great toll on our school's families economically as well. Job insecurity brought on by the crisis has made a difficult situation even tougher for many of our students and their parents.
We are asking for funds to help parents buy groceries and other vital supplies for their families. Families will receive gift cards to Target, so that they can purchase the items they need for their households. We plan to distribute funds to parents before the school year ends. This fundraiser will accept donations from now until June 12.
