Anna's Medical Bills

Our beloved Anna left us peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 12 after several years battling cancer. We will miss her beauty and grace, her artistry and wisdom. We feel a profound loss but are comforted knowing she is free. http://askannathompson.com/.  We will continue to help her husband and young daughter in anyway possible.   

I remember sitting on a big rock in Bellingham, looking out at the Puget Sound. I told my big sister I wanted a life of adventure...that I wanted to travel the world. She smiled in her serene way, looked at me with her eyes ablaze and said, “do it.”

I’m not the only one with her voice in my mind, stirring me on, sending me forward. Anna has helped thousands and thousands of people find meaning, direction, and wholeness, in her work as a psychotherapist.

Our sister Anna was 40 when she found out the exciting news that she and her husband were expecting a baby. An extraordinary pain in her back soon followed, but it was repeatedly dismissed as likely an effect of 'advanced maternal age.' After her beautiful healthy girl was born, the pain did not subside... but was again dismissed as a result of a difficult birth. When her daughter was 6 months old, my sister had a scan done which showed advanced, inoperable colon cancer.  A devastating and grim prognosis indeed.  

Her inability to work for the last two years, and her disappointing self-employed medical-share insurance has left her with insurmountable hospital bills. The largest as a result of a life-saving surgery several months ago. She is still stage IV but fighting tooth and nail to survive.  She would be so grateful for help, prayers and words of encouragement.
