The Adolescent Psychedelic Experience - documentary series

Donation protected
Hello friend!

I'm Jo, a Scandinavian-based filmmaker and I invite you to support a project that has the potential to transform lives and perceptions about mental health treatment for adolescents.

This is not another documentary of someone sharing their psychedelic journey.

"Minds in Bloom" is an ambitious documentary series that delves into the intersection of adolescent mental health, cutting-edge science, and traditional plant medicines.

In this series, we will explore how indigenous cultures use psychedelics and how these practices can be integrated into modern therapeutic approaches to foster understanding, empathy, and hope for our younger generations.

The Importance of "Minds in Bloom"

Adolescent mental health issues, such as depression and anorexia nervosa, are increasing in society and cause a lot of pain to individuals, families, and society. Through this documentary series, we explore pioneering research of new therapies that could provide new avenues for recovery.

By understanding these potent substances safely and while integrating them with modern research, we can make a significant impact on adolescent mental health.

My dear friend David Sjöström, a researcher in adolescent mental health, and I have been collaborating for a year, building the necessary connections and laying the groundwork for this documentary to take place.

David and I have previously collaborated on the world record highline documentary on SVT. His currently coordinating modern research on how psilocybin can support recovery in Anorexia nervosa for young adults.

The production of the first episode will start this autumn/winter, diving into the psilocybin for anorexia project or going to Brazil to do field research.

Together, we will follow two adolescents on their recovery journey and in the following episodes do field research, visiting different cultures to witness how traditional psychedelic rituals are an integral part of community healing practices.
