Chucks Fight

If you know Chuck Leonard, you know that he would do anything to help anyone. You would also know that he is not one to ask for help. That is why, as his siblings, we have decided to do so for him.

Earlier this year, Chuck underwent two surgeries on his sinuses, as he battled intense and constant pain. In his follow up visit in April he was told by his doctor that cancer was found and he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Because of the size and location of the tumors in his sinuses, he has been hospitalized as they try to manage his immense pain. This summer will be spent navigating to and from Madison while he continues intensive radiation and chemotherapy treatment.

This hurdle has been difficult for Chuck not only physically, but emotionally, as he is away from his kids, and financially, and will be unable to work as he had planned to this summer. With undoubted medical bills eventually rolling in, we are hoping to relieve some of his financial stress.

Ever the optimist & encourager, Chuck recently shared this statement with his work family:

“I serve a great God… I am far from a great man, but have often found that when I try to model Christ, I tend to be the best version of myself. I know my life, and ultimately the lives of all of my children, are in his hands and I am sure there is no better place to be.”

We are so grateful to fight this battle with a man that fully relies on his Savior in such a difficult and painful time & continues to trust Him entirely.

We are so thankful for any help, but even more so for your prayers for healing, rest, and relief of his pain. If you know Chuck, you know that he is tough & he is a fighter. We are so proud of how strong he is and are thankful for all of those who will join in his fight.
