Lawyer fees

Hi, my name is Jasmine and I am starting this go fund me to raise money for lawyer fees for a custody battle that my boyfriend and I are going thru with his ex girlfriend. Ivy is 3.5 years old and extremely behind developmentally. On May 2nd we received emergency custody of her and it’s been a battle with her mother ever since. Before we got custody of Ivy she was very malnourished and her mother was only giving her milk and not feeding her. She had no routine and was staying up till 2am. Her mother would send her for visits with diaper rash down to her knees, soiled clothes, and looking like she hadn’t been bathed in weeks. Ivy does not talk and is not potty trained. When we first got her Ivy she displayed signs of sexual assault and was very afraid and timid. Since May 2nd Ivy has excelled in her day school that she attends Monday thru Friday and has gained 7 pounds. The judge who is handling this case is insensitive and does not care about the well being of this little girl. We love her so much but the judge is forcing us to send her with her mother who is using drugs, a repeat offender of the law, no stable living environment, and has her around ground men with awful past and who sell drugs. Before Ivy was in our custody her mother left her in a running car, alone on a 100 degree day so she could go shopping in timax. We have been frantically trying to find a lawyer for the past week who will take our case. We found one in Maine but the retainer fee is 10000 and with a new baby on the way there is no way we can come up with that money alone. Ivy is a beautiful, smart, loving little girl and we are worried what could happen to her if she goes with her mother. Unfortunately the system fails children everyday but we are willing to fight till the end for her. Please if you can help in anyway we would appreciate it greatly. This little girl deserves the world and we want to give it to her but are afraid with the way the system works if we send her off with her we may not get to love or hold her again
