Le 29 février 2024, ce sera la journée mondiale des maladies rares. À ce moment je serai au sommet du Kilimandjaro avec quelques membres de la belle communauté PTEN.

Comme plusieurs d’entre vous le savez déjà, Kingston est atteint de cette maladie génétique rare appelée PTEN hamartoma tumor syndrome aussi appelée Cowden syndrome. Cette maladie n’a pas de traitement à ce jour et c’est pour cette raison que je veux amasser des fonds afin d’aider à faire avancer la recherche pour trouver un remède qui pourra au moins améliorer la qualité de vie des patients qui en sont atteints.

En incluant un grand défi comme celui de gravir la plus haute montagne d’Afrique à 20 000 pieds d’altitude, cela permettra en plus à la fondation d’avoir une belle visibilité pour faire connaître notre cause le plus possible.

Ceux qui me connaisse savent que j’ai toujours aimé les défis, et celui-ci est le plus important et probablement le plus beau que je relèverai de toute ma vie.

Je m’engage à remettre 100% du montant amassé dans ce Go Fund Me à la Fondation PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome et je ferai d’autres levées de fonds pour financer en partie mon voyage.

I'M GOING TO AFRICA!!!

February 29, 2024 will be World Rare Disease Day. At that time, I will be at the top of Kilimanjaro with some members of the beautiful PTEN community.

As many of you already know, Kingston has this rare genetic disease called PTEN hamartoma tumor syndrome, also called Cowden syndrome. This disease has no treatment to date and it is for this reason that I want to raise funds to help advance research to find a cure that can at least improve the quality of life of patients who suffer from it.

By including a great challenge like climbing the highest mountain in Africa at 20,000 feet above sea level, this will also allow the foundation to have good visibility and raise awareness for our cause as much as possible.

Those who know me know that I have always loved challenges, and this is the most important, probably the most beautiful that and the closest to my heart that I will face in my entire life.

I agree to donate 100% of the amount raised in this Go Fund Me to the PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome Foundation and I will do other fundraising to partially or hopefully totally finance my trip.
